Have a boosted b16 on 7lbs destroyed clutch prior. Just rebuild motor an plan on keeping a light foot this go aroynd.

Would you recomend stage1 exedy or stage 3 f1

how much hp and tq are you making? that i think makes the biggest difference in clutch choice

 

Only looking to make 250 an about 180/190trq i am running 81.5/11.1comp pistons Nippon

 

the f1 stage 3 might be over kill, the stage 2 says Horsepower Rating: 295 HP / Torque Capacity: 265 ft/lbs

but i have heard mixed reviews about f1's quality
try an act, comp clutch or exedy stage 2

 

Yeah be previously i made 286hp 200trq on same set up. Just goin differ clutch this set up. I said only looking for 250 roughly if i can lower boost

 

But to my knowledge i camt go lower than 7lbs

 

do you have a boost controller or just a spring in the wastegate?

what wastegate, usually the lowest spring you can get is 4 or 5 psi

 

i ran the f1 stage 3 with a 7lb flywheel on my ls teg without any problems but it was a stock engine to but it wasnt hard to drive on the street and id go with the stage 3 just to have the extra insurance that it will hold

Ben that didn't seem like over kill on a stock Ls? What was it in? I had a stage 3 Exedy until it worn down to the rivets. Would purchase another but i am on a 1 week time limit an $250 budget so for 180$ its not bad deal. As stated "i dont plan on abusing much" plus i gotta break my motor in completely

 

I have an ACT 4 puck thats right on the rivits that should get you by till you can get what you want. Just pay shipping and its yours.

I wouldnt use a new clutch to breakin the motor as the new clutch needs to be broken in as well.

 

not really it actually drove really good i used my car for delivery driver when i worked at dominos id get the one with a lightweight flywheel its a night and day difference when driving revs way quicker and im about to buy another for my h22 swaped teg with a 8lb flywheel

 

i had a lsv 266whp but only 160 wtq but my f1 stg 3 held up fine
