5spd Transaxle questions for my 96 h23a1
I rebuilt my engine about 8k miles ago. I bored it out 1/2 cm new pistons, reman nitrite crank, reman head, etc, etc. Dumped a bunch of money into it. Now my transaxle gave out on me. Checked the fluid and there was none
. So dumb. So id like to upgrade with lighter flyhweel, thinking fidanza 8lbs aluminum, exedy stage 1 organic clutch, heard good things about them. As far as the transaxle goes i was thinking hardened sleeves, carbon fiber synchros, spring set, and helical limited slip differential. Where should I go? What should I do? Ive heard syncrotech or gear speed are quality. Im assuming theyre gonna want a trans for core...so pick-n-pull? Would be nice not to need a core at all if possible. Any help with this matter is greatly appreciated. Thanks peeps

I was thinking about 8lb, but i went with a ACT StreetLite 12.9lb flywheel, stage one Exedy clutch. 4k miles adjusted pedal twice and catches like a dream. 12.9 is already ten pounds lighter than the stock wheel and it really opened my H23 up. Good luck!
