Default Speaker wiring through door

Anyone done this on a 1st gen CRV?

I'm looking at running a 4 channel amp to each 6.5" since I'm upgrading to speakers that require more power. I want to run 14 guage into each door. The rear speakers were easy to route under the back qtr panel plastic. I am placing the Amp under the drivers seat and will route all speaker wires under the carpet to that location.

Has anyone ran wire into the doors and what kind of tips could you supply? I know there's a molex connector in there and I was thinking of running the wire inside the rubber grommet and into a hole i'd drill under the molex and seal it up with some silicone.

would you mind maybe getting a pic of that for me? I just want to see my options. It looks like a real shitty job. I'm guessing I may want to remove the doors and the fenders just for ease.

I was able to wire both sides with just removing the doors. just inside the fender grommet hole there was a foam wall that you could puncture with a few inches of coat hanger and pull the wire through. I did 14 gauge on the passenger side and 16 on the drivers side (didnt have enough 14 to go passenger side) oh well 16 is plenty of wire for the speakers I'm throwing in the doors.

here's what I did.
1. remove the door (you have to have a helper hold the door)
2. pull the molex out
3. pull the gromex side out
4. the whole gromex part is two pieces held together by electrical tape remove the old and pull it apart. slide the wire through the grommet and out the under side on the end that connects to the door panel.
5. use a small piece of coat hanger attached to the speaker wire to puncture through the foam wall and into the car.
6. put the grommet back together and reseal the grommet together with electrical tape and put it back in the hole in the fender side.
7. drill a hole in the door below the molex
8. have a friend help you mount the door back up
9. when the door is mounted feed the speaker wire through the hole
10. seal the hole with something (i used some weird *** silicone type crap for marine use that can be applied underwater it was in the toolbox which was my boat mechanic friends before he got out of the business)
the rest is history run the wires how you see fit. once the door is mounted take your time to make it flush on both top and bottom by loosening the bolts on either top or bottom and moving each individually don't do both at the same time it gets everything out of wack.

here's the few pics i took of everything
