Default Lo Jack success

Just thought I'd post. See what kind of reaction you guys have to this.

A Lo Jack system led LAPD officers to a car thief and when they tried to stop him he tried to run them over, so they shot him.

So minus one car thief in the LA area. Success to Lo Jack, but LAPD did shoot someone.

Thoughts?

Glad to hear one less off the streets. .. Now what to do with all the others..

Funny though, I heard tha LAPD is so busy and all the car theives really just get a slap on the wrist unless it's some dramma is envolved like you mentioned.

I just saw this on the news... the guy carjacked a Hyundai .. it looked like a compact sedan.. so it was probably an elantra or something not sure...

they found the car in his driveway or something cuz the owner of the car had LoJack and he tried to run the LAPD officers over so they shot him... according to the news he's expected to make it/injuries were non fatal...

btw this probably doesn't belong in the Integra forum...

They only shot him because he tried to run over an officer. See...When theves take our crap, or our lives, they just chase them, etc. However..When they try to take an officers life, then it gets personl. I think al theives should try to run down cops, this way the cops have a reason to kill him

DISCLAIMER:..this is just my opinion.

A friends Acura Integra 98 GSR

Stolen

police found it 1/2 hour later with lojack and about a dozen other cars cooling off in a parking lot...

damag= half the panels in his car were torn apart and laying in the back seat

2 weeks later he got it back from the repair shop...

next morning it was stolen again....

this time they never found it again...

lojack is good until they steal your car twice trying to find where they DIDNT find it the first time...

something to think about..

what an embarassing story, could u imagine the parents telling the story of how their kid died? 'yeah my son died trying to steal a HYUNDAI!!' how could u not laugh!! not at his death of course, but at the fact that he took the time to steal a hyundai, seriously whats the point? its not like anyone would pay decent money for a stolen hyundai. BOY YOU NEED A ROLE MODEL.

What's the cost of the LoJack system and do you have a pay a monthly fee for their services?

OT - anyways, what would be the best alarm out there to date? I'm in the market for a new alarm system for my car.
