Default Eh3 hatch rear hub

Hello, im replacing my left side rear drum hub assembly and i was wondering if i should replace my left side as well? Im replacing the right side due to a stripped stud. Buying either one hub assembly for $26 or both for $40. Brand new. On sale. So all I need to know is do I have to swap them both out? I dont mind doing both.

You don't have to, but considering the age of the car (and assuming the original factory units are still on the car) it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and do it as preventative maintenance.

Thanks for the reply! Okay yeah thats what I was thinking too lol. Byw i found these on eBay for $48 for both. Are eBay parts okay? I went to autozone and they asked for $50 for one assembly. Just wondering if these will do?

Whoah, time out. Why are you replacing the entire assembly? The studs can be replaced individually, as can the bearing.

Isnt it just easier to do so? Should I keep the original assembly?

Easier? Maybe. Three times as costly? Definitely. If you only need to replace a stud, just replace the stud. If you need to replace the bearings, just replace the bearings. Use OEM parts, not knock-offs. OEM bearings and studs are cheap.
