A/C fan and freon presssure questions....
Hi All, got a couple questions.
First, a little background. Have a 2002 CR-V 2WD with about 215k on it. Noticed it tends to overheat when A/C is on. Checked it out the other day and noticed when I turn on the A/C, only the condenser fan kicks on. Checked it out on this forum and found that both should kick on, so went back to start checking fuses and such and discovered that now neither fan is working. Checked the power at the condenser fan and found that it is getting power, so gave it a kick start with my hand and the fan will spin, but not very strong. The other fan will not work at all, even if I hardwire it direct to battery. So, I assume both fans are shot.
Now, I was checking the freon today and this is what I found. The low side is at around 80 when compressor off. Compressor kicks on for a second or two and gets pressure down to 70, and kicks off till pressure reaches 80 again, and cycle repeats. High side is around 350. That seems high to me.... But, is compressor cycling because freon is too low? Doesn't seem too low to me....
Can someone please help me with this?
