Default d16y8 - 97 itr question

I ahve everything figured out for this swap except for the crank position sensor, on the y8 it comes off the end of the crank by the alternator pulley, the itr I am assuming runs off the cams, is there an easy way to get around this?? I will be using the itr distributor

The sensor you are referring to is the Crank Fluctuation Sensor of CFK.
It is the same on both motors assuming they are both OBDII.

The crank position sensor is in the distributor on both cars.

If it makes you feel any better. I have a 2000 ITR motor in my 96 EK and I am using a 96-98 D16Y8 harness and had to make ZERO changes at the distributor.
