Default Power steering mod?

I was looking at turbonetics kit and it says that you cant keep power steering without modification. Its the cheapest quality kit that I could find. When I called them they said that I could go with a garbage cast iron manifold instead of the the stainless ram horn style. I like the ram horn style alot! I understand that the intercooling piping also interferes with the ps. The compatible kits are alot more money. Club civic guys say that wimps run with power steering. Has anyone successfully moded a cheaper kit?

Cheap and Quality don't even belong in the same sentence.

Up your budget and do it right. You are clearly trying to buy a junk *** eBay sold kit. For a few extra dollars you could get something with some quality from Go-Autoworks or the likes. That junk "ramhorn" is going to crack on you in no time at all. Also, how in the hell does intercooler piping mess with the power steering? Are you nuts? Assuming you have low power goals a cast manifold will be more than sufficient. You should inform yourself better and actually try to do some research instead of WANTING to be spoon fed.

Go-autoworks kits are nice (I have on in my ITR) stick with log unless you have big hp goals

I have done research. Turbnetics makes a good turbo. I have read that the the ram horn style puts out more hp and it looks 10x more sexy. I did read somewhere that the intercooling piping can get in the way. Is that correct? I am currently putting out 210 hp at the engine. My goal is 400 whp

How is a cast manifold garbage? Because it isn't shiny? Dumb reason to pick a manifold.
Intercooler piping gets in the way of what?

what are your power levels?

I've seen people make 600hp on logs and cast manifolds

while ramhorn manifolds might look "cool" its probably overkill for your goals... and they also cause lag when compared to a log or cast manifold, due to runner length and the heat loss through those runners that causes the exhaust gasses to slow down.... if you get a ramhorn, or any manifold for that point, ceramic coat it or wrap it to minimize heat loss and lag and maximize power/torque production and have a slightly better powerband due to increased response/decreased lag

I read somewhere that the inter cooler piping coming from the turbo down the right side into the intercooler runs right where the ps pump is. It could be wrong info.

you can retain A/C and Power steering with the right turbo kit. a cast log generally is designed to keep both. Pretty sure the turbonetics kits are as well. Not sure whereyou are reading this mis-information but get the info directly from the source "TURBONETICS"

Yeah I will just buy the log style then. It's 1400 bucks shipped to your door with a 1 year warranty. The turbo is turbonetics but everything else is china

Are there any other crucial parts that I should replace with brand name like waste gate?

you think? do you want your wastegate malfunctioning and causing an overboost condition?

Why even waste your money? Half of the parts in those eBay sold kits are throw away junk. You could EASILY part together a complete kit for the same price if not cheaper and have some decent parts to work with.

ebay doesnt have to mean junk, I have found some nice used name brand parts on there for my car, it's just a tool, you have to wade through all the china junk and search out the good stuff. Think of an online swap meet, you are going to dig through a lot of rusted out and cheap crap before you unearth that good part
