Cluster swap, what years will fit

I have a 98 EX...
My tach doesn't work and after doing some troubleshooting, I have narrowed it down to the cluster or maybe the wiring to the cluster.
I put a meter that read RPM's on the connector on the driver’s side fender. I get a RPM reading there, so I know my dizzy is working with no issues. And no wiring issues up to that point.
My question is...what years/models will be a direct fit? I am hoping some a simple plug and play. I am looking on craigslist for a replacement...I see people say from a "EG, or SI, or etc.". Will anything from years 96-99 work? Will it matter if it is a DX, LX, EX, etc??

Why are you making this harder than it is? For perfect compatibility get one from the exact make and model. Ideally any cluster with a tach fitting this criteria will work.
