Default b18a1 build

So i have recently aquired a b18a1 block with no head and it is need of a rebuild. Before i dive into this project i want to have a general idea of what is going to be done. Just off the top of my head ive created an image of what i want.
-B18a1 block
-stock crank, rods
-b16 pistons
-b18b1 head

my reasoning for the pistons is higher comp and the b1 head for better breathing. i would like input from people with experience in putting any of these parts with eachother like the b1 head on the a1 block or b16 pistons in an ls. Im also open to new ideas; however i am not trying to put alot of money into aftermarket internals. the motor will be going into my 91 si which is my dd

No LSV ? they can be reliable if built right. Afaik the rods are the weak point in those set ups you won't be able to rev as high. no exhaust/header listed what are you thinking of ?

i'd get 81.5mm or even 82mm pistons...
arp rod bolts will solve your worries of reving to 8-8.5k easily.
get cams

ive been in nice ls vtecs but i dont want to build one. the vtec head is more for higher rpms and i want lower rpms and torque. i also want something different. and as for i/h/e im not doing any planning of that until the motor is in build process

and as for cams im going to do more research for the building of the head after i get pistons. arp rod bolts is a good word of advice, thank you. and its not that i have to get new pistons i just thought of using b16 ones during a little garage talk. again im not trying to throw alot of money and i know someone who wants to buy high comp pistons for their b16 so maybe i can use the stock ones
