Sup HT, Recently I was installing my new radio bezel and discovered upon reconnecting my cd player that it had no power. I came across the factory harness and notice a burnt wire (yellow, if it matters). as you can see its burnt all the way through. Can this be repaired and if so, how much am i looking at for running new wire?

 

My suggestion? Cut the wire then get comparable sized wire (from junkyard) and solder it in with heatshrink.

I did a similar 'fix' when I found someone had cut off the factory harness to install an aftermarket radio rather than spend $3 on an adapter harness. I went to the junkyard and resoldered ALL the connections to the radio. Worked like a champ.
