New girl - Finally got an Acura :]
Hey everyone! I'm "mamafox" - 20 year old housewife and homemaker in rural, northern Idaho.
I fell in love with Hondas when an ex boyfriend introduced me, and I've been hooked ever since :]
Anyways - it is not the car that we (my fiance and I) wanted, BUT it was the best deal we could find for our area.
White Acura Integra LS - automatic (very unfortunate) with 150k miles. All stock except the deck and tinted windows. Picked it up for $2,800 on a small car lot.
Hopefully I will fall into good hands here and get good advice when I need it and find good parts. We will be looking out for and buying a 5 speed Civic or another Integra in the future, but we needed to replace my old, ugly POS Chevy Beretta.
Anyways, even though it is not my DREAM CAR, I am very happy to have found a good commuter car that I adore and will be safe for me and my family.
Hope to see you all in the threads :D And try not to make fun of me too much ;]

Its not much at all to do a manual swap. Def cheaper than buying a whole diff car. Lol check it out there are some threads on here that walk you through the process step by step

Congrats on the car, and welcome to honda tech! I'm a lady honda lover as well.
Btw, the only cheap way to do the manual swap is to find a donor vehicle at a junkyard- like a pick & pull. Unless you have a very nice friend looking to get rid of their civic or integra 5spd...
What is your dream car?

Welcome to HT!
Wow, didn't know anyone in their 20s used still the term 'housewife' and/or 'homemaker' - at least, not self-referentially.

I like the rural homestead! Envy, envy, envy. The rat race has gotten a lot rattier over the last 10 years, and back to the country after being away so long would do some good!
Nice looking teg! and IMO a great color. A friend of mine at work is seriously considering the trans and dashboard swap in his - along with all of the additions that are associated with it. He also realizes that the LS's have the best, or more accurately, most desirable stock bottom-ends of the tegs. (89mm vs 87.5mm)
Housewife and homemaker are two honorable duties and titles. I'm glad to see someone from your generation using them.
From my perspective, most of the later generations have fallen victim to the well-funded social engineering in our establishment media, schools and alleged counter/pop-culture and just go with the flow without questioning anything. I'd like to do a teg myself, if I could only find a 00 or 01 white GSR with a good body and at a good price, I'd do it.
Enjoy the journey here but beware, sadly there's a lot of deception and dis-functionality in the h-t community as well.

Hey mamafox512,
Have ya'll done anything to your teg? I found a 2000 white LS today here in town, a lot like yours, but defiantly not nearly as clean. It's also an auto trans that would have to go sooner rather than later. Have you two decided on whether to do the trans swap or not? This possible purchase is steering me to do a formal required parts list and price analyses of it.
Decisions, decisions. The body's straight, but the inside's needing a bit of work to bring up to respectable. If it's still there next Friday, we'll make an offer and see what happens.
