hey when im doing about 60 and i press the gas my car shakes from the front but when i let off the gas it stops what could this be?

 

How do you NOT know by now to list all relevant car details? hat would include any and all modifications to the suspension and braking systems.

Are you TRYING to be hardheaded? The forum rules pretty much demand you list the car and the details. Knowing you I hardly doubt it's "basically stock". It just started shaking out of nowhere?

well i obly feel the front end shaking when i accelerate going above 60.. when i let off the gas it stops when i hit the gas it shakes again.. what could it be? 2000 stock civic lowered with coilovers

 

Could be anything.

 

motor mounts, wheel hub, bushings... Does it happen when you turn corners around 20-30 mph? Is it only the front end shaking?

 

What kind of coilovers? Im guessing eBay...

 

If it's the car I think it is he actually has a decent set of coilovers on it. He buys quality. Just doesn't seem to have a clue on proper operation and installation.

no doesnt happen when i turn only going high speeds when pressing the gas and completly stops when i let off the gas..

 

And it's been doing this since when? After what mod was done?

 

I had the same exact problem it was pretty damn bad at high speeds on the highway...had my wheels rebalanced BAM no more shaking

 

i got an alignment done recently

 

idk feels funny at high speeds esp up hill i dnt think its a weight cuz it was driving fine before n only feels wen i press the gas wen i let off its fine

 

feels worse at low rpm

 

i can feel it slightly when i let off the gas actually

 

Maybe it could be your rotors/brakes..you said it shakes when coming to a complete stop? Id have someone check the front end out just to be safe

 

and now at lower speeds o can feel it but not as bad

Your axles are probably shot.

 

Or bent rim

 

Im almost certain that its a problem with the wheels man, id get them re balanced..have a friend who can do it for free or hook you up with a nice price?

 

would a un balanced tire only shake when accelerating or would it shake when u let off the gas too
