neptune rtp demon, always reads im in 5th gear
what could be the cause of this always reading in 5th gear. im not familiar with this stuff i just basically know how to set up the gauges, datalog, and do simple things like set up 2 step, rev limiter and such.

make sure you have chosen the correct transmission in the tune settings to the one you are actually using. does Neptune show the correct speed of the vehicle? check VSS wiring.

If you're automatic it will always read that. If you're manual you definitely have an issue with the VSS or wiring. Check the VSS value in logging to make sure it reflects your actual speed.
