Si Suspension Question/Advice
Hey guys,
Wanted to know if the arrow on the top plate of the strut mount/bearing needs to be pointing in a certain way? Does it really matter? I've seen some postings say that the arrow has to point forwards, towards the hood? To me it doesn't look like it matters. Any specific recommendations?
Installed an Eibach Prokit set with Skunk2 sport shocks on a '07 Si sedan. All new hardware.
Moved away from a crappy coilover system. Never again.
Thanks

Usually if there's a mark, it faces out toward the wheel. Typically it does matter on struts, but not shocks, because front struts are involved with the steering. I don't know for sure on this particular vehicle.
by engine bay you mean facing forward right? towards hood/engine bay. i'm just not sure now. i'll loosen the three bolts and lift the car on each side and get the strut to lower. I might be able to turn the top plate if it's off. then lower it back down and tighten it up. hopefully it didn't mess the bearings. had creaking/popping noise when turning almost full lock but that was the isolators on the eibach springs. little lithium spray took care of that.
thanks for the info
