problem with taking key out
the weirdest thing happened today... as i parked my car in my driveway... the key apparently got stuck.. like it would not come out at all.. it stays at the 1st click..i can still start the engine and drive it around but the key just seem like its stuck when i try to take it out.. what could be wrong?? u guys know anyway to take out the key?
You probably just locked the steering wheel by accident. Can you turn the wheel at all? If not, then turn the steering wheel kinda hard (you will have to use a little force) to one direction while pushing in/turning the key.
nah the steering wheel isnt locked...
the car still has the key in it sitting in the garage as we speak.. help!!!!!!

My girlfriends Civic did the same thing a few times. Apparently it's sort of a defect from factory. We took the Civic to Honda they replaced something under warranty and has never happened again.
i was in my boss' carrera 4s and well the wheel was locked, but that was the last thing on my mind. so i was like, umm what the hell i thought i messed his car up cuz i was screwing with the key and alarm. so he comes and unlockes the wheel and i go for a drive..

try lubricating the lock mechanism with a light lube. just spray it in where the key goes into the ignition. sometimes dirt/whatever gets into the tumblers and freezes them.
ok this happens on my bro auto civic when he just installed a shift ****. take out the negative cable on your battery then you should be able to take it out for now. if that was it then fix your auto shifter.
if that dont work then readjust your ****. hehe
if it stills dont work then you're screwed, nah i just dont know. thats my $0.02

My x's CRV would do that every once in a while. We figured out that if you put the car in drive, and roll foward a bit, then step on the brake, put it in park, and take the key out, while your foot is still on the brake. Never did figure out what the problem was, it was went away after a little while.
its actually an automatic honda passport.. for you guys's info... the key still wont come out.. its been 2 days already .. shieT!

Tow it to honda and get that biatch fixed.
