Default Power Door Opener/Lock Only Works In Warm Weather

Hello,

Spring is here again, and that's a good thing for me because, like clockwork, my power doors are working flawlessly again. About three winters ago, they decided to start hibernating on cold days.

This is happening with my 2000 Civic LX. I do not have an alarm system or keyless entry.

I've printed off the Power Door Lock troubleshooting pages from the service manual, but before I start taking things apart and testing, if any knowledgeable people have any comments I'd gladly listen to their views.

A few specifics:
1. On warm winter days, or even moderately cold ones when I'm parked in the sun, the power locks work.

2. On cold days I still operate the handle and switch out of habit sometimes, and when I do I can hear something clicking.

3. One time when it was very cold, I had the door open just a few inches and to my surprise the power locks functioned. I was convinced that I had figured out the trick: just have the door open to exactly that position, and the power locks would work even in cold. But I was unable to repeat the success.

Any thoughts?
