Default Painting my trunk

Hey guys I never painted before and been reading around here for a bit. My trunk is green you see a lot of 96-98 civics have. Now I need to get it to my cars color code which is the taffeta white. Now I know I need to sand it down but how much sanding do I need to do?

I currently have these grit sand papers
-80 grit
-180 grit
-400 grit

Another thing I wanted to know is the taffeta white white they have at autozone any good? Does it completely match and would it be good to use it for painting the whole trunk? Also what would be a good primer to use.
