Probably your best AV6 resource.

Long story short, don't waste your money on the J30A1. Save up for a 6-speed swap as the transmissions are garbage on the J30A1's. Make sure your trans fluid is good, check that sh*t religiously, NO FLUSHES, just drain and fill. DD it, don't effing beat on it, stock form and enjoy it. When I had one in 02-03, it was the biggest pain in my ***, ever. Almost completely swore off Hondas because of the transmission issues. The Heads on J30A1's are junk, the transmissions suck, and they're just fat. Like I said previously, save up for a 6-speed swap, find yourself a J35 with the good heads that are the same as the CL-S/TL-S's(MDX is best option since it has a forged crank from what I recall/read), and swap it.

Or better yet, DD it and build something else. I love these cars, but f*ck the factory powertrain.
