Default air bag deployment question

Hey guys so i was hoping the forums would know the answer to my question

I have a 1994 honda accord 4 door LX with the 2.2L

Bought it from a friend who had gotten in a relatively minor front end collision

set both airbags off

i replaced all the front body parts that were damaged , the rad support was barely bent so that wasnt an issue

i know i have to replace both airbags and the SRS unit BUT .....

My real question is, do i have to replace any impact sensors? ive done some research and it seems there are 2 in the dashboard , and one somewhere on the front right of the vehicle .

do i need to replace any of those? inspect? if so where can i buy one for the cheapest?

any advice would be helpfull , thanks !

Oh jees. Good luck, SRS issues are horrible to fix along with finding what is damaged and what isn't. A lot of people refuse to buy cars that have been in airbag-deploying accidents. If you're really that worried about replacing it all I would hit up the junkyard and replace both sensors.

hmm well it wasnt a catastrophic accident, the radiator and AC condenser werent even affected by the collision, is there even such thing as a front impact sensor, because i was browsing the online shop manual for this car and it only showed the two in the cabin.

can anyone confirm this ?

in the manual it said you can visually inspect the two sensors for damage and if its not broken or dented its ok , so it says...

can anyone else chime in ?

I would do as the manual says, there is no front mounted impact sensors on our Accords. I actually just had my entire front ripped off my car about an hour ago for that matter lol. IIRC they are both placed on the upper left and right sides of the firewall, which if you can't see any noticeable damage you should be fine.

I threw away my airbag about a year ago when I thought it was cool to have a cheap ebay 6-bolt wheel. But as I started to realize my safety and the annoying SRS light I replaced my clockspring and purchased a wheel mounted bag for about $25 in total. I can't foresee it being more than $35-$45 to replace both of them.
