Head Gasket, water pump, belts, etc., replaced 50 miles ago, ran fine after repair. Within 25 miles I had trouble starting. This was resolved by my mechanic replacing the distributor. Another 30 miles later there was more trouble starting, white smoke and water coming from tale pipe.
The air tube has a large crack. It was sealed up with metal HVAC tape until I can get a replacement. I can get it started but it's a struggle. My mechanic wants me to get the air tube replacement part and that will fix the problem. I have lost confidence in him. Any ideas?
