Default 96+ jdm zc

So I'm trying to figure out how alike the 96+ zc and the y7 are. Because know I can bolt a y8 head to a y7 block with no issues and don't need adj cam gear. Is the jdm zc the same thing?

a z6 is more identicle to the zc not the y8.... you would have to change the lower timing gear and oil pump, oil pick up, and oil pan from a y7 or y8 motor onto the zc. the zc came from pre 95 so if u were to run a p28 and bypass the cfk sensor at the crank you wont have to replace the oil pan and stuff. that is to mount the cfk sensor at the crank if running a obd2 ecu.. it probably wont run great on a y8 ecu anyway and i would prefer running a chipped ecu with a stock ZC basemap. the ZC has higher compression then the y7/y8. the y7 and y8 have 9:4 compression as the ZC has 9:6. nothing is identicle with the y7 or y8 d series motors but the piston and stroke size. .... the ZC motor is definately a better motor to run the any y7/y8 d series motor

I agree. The JDM ZC is more identical to the Z6 as is the JDM D16A. Run a P28 and you won't have to mess with the oil pan, CFK..

I'm about to get a JDM ZC w/ Tranny does this bolt on to an 92-95 EG Coupe with ease? Or will the ECU & Harness be an issue? I know that its similar to an LS an that the injectors will need wiring is this true? I'm new to Hondas sorry for my noobieness its a disease at the moment.

Similar to an ls? No it's not even close but like I stated above everyone thinks I'm talking about the 95 spec zc which is close to the d16z6 and then there's the 88-91 spec which is basically a d16a6 then the 96-99 spec which I guess closely relates the y7 but i wanna know how close they are!
