Default component question on a crx

I'm looking to put in some 6.5 component speakers in my door panels, what has everyone used to cut the holes for the tweeters? I'm also going to hook up a 500 watt amp to it, should I run new wires to the components or run from the amp to the back of the deck to the speakers?

Where should I mount the component crossovers? Inside the door panels or inside the cab?

Thanks
John

ok..what has everyone used to cut the holes for the tweeters?
i use a rotozip or circular bit on the drill its its the right size. but use anything your comfortable with.
should I run new wires to the components or run from the amp to the back of the deck to the speakers? (this depends on how much work you wanna do. my suggestion would be to run new wire into the door.
Where should I mount the component crossovers? Inside the door panels or inside the cab? (this also depends on how much work you wanna do. if you mount em in the cab your gonna need to run new wires into the door for either the tweet or mid bass. if you put it in the door its less work and time.

Thanks for the input. Where has everyone else mounted the crossovers for the components? Inside the door panel or inside the cab? Where exactly in the door panels? The reason I ask is cause this is my first set of components and of course I want to do it right. Some pics your installation would be nice.

Using the circular bit or spade bit to cut the holes for the tweeters, will it tear up the door panel or will it give it a clean cut? I'm just afraid of tearing up the door panels.

This is being done on a 88 CRX HF by the way.

mount them inside the doors, u can zip tie them to a stereo back strap and screw the back strap into the door.choose any spot where there is a recess of about two inches and bend the backstrap into the recess. This is what we used to do at best buy. it is pretty hard to run new wires into the door properly, I did it once before and I ended up having to take the whole door off. u will probably be happy with the sound quality that u get by using the stock wires, just don't push too much power through them.
