1990 Honda Prelude 4WS
Anyone still have one of these on the road? It was my first car, white and white wheels, loaded, 5 spd. It had 77k miles on it when I bought it, it gave me some trouble when I was commuting an hour to work. I gave it to my friend when it had about 200k miles on it. He fixed a few things on it, sold it and it was still around town a few years later.
What a car! If they ever bring back the Prelude AND 4WS, I will be at the dealer to buy one.
I down graded a lot by going to a civic...but I have 225k miles on my civic (2001) and its still kicking.

The eletronic 4WS systems just do not stack up to the older 4WS of the 3rd gen.
Its a nice feature to be added to the new Honda/Acura line and it will handle very nicely, but its still a electrical system. But then again that is a luxury sport sedan so as heavy as it is, it probably needs it anyways.
mechanical? electrical?... Its also a much lighter system than the one in the Prelude... Another plus is that the RLX 4ws doesnt activate in reverse like the Preludes. The designer of the RLX 4ws is the same man who designed the suspension on the NSX. Im sure its an awesome system on a tank for a car.
What's sad, and before I continue, RIP Honda, but the RLX relies on that 4WS system in attempt at mimicking the handling of the RWD cars the RLX is competing against. Even with the 4WS, it's turning circle is still 40ft. In comparison, 4WS 3rd gen lude has a turning circle of 31ft. It's basically being used as a crutch to correct their Failwheeldrive flagship sedan.
Might as well get a Hyundai Genesis sedan with RWD and a 400+hp V8.
