Default Mini Me Questions

Do I have to convert to OBD1 to do a mini me setup? Can I use my dizzy and my intake manifold to a Z6 head, then use a shiftlight to trigger the VTEC? I don't have a complete $170.00 anymore to buy the harness from blownhatch. any feedback is appreciated. What timing belt do i use now from A6 or Z6?

no but you should. the vtec ecu has different fuel maps for vtec

yes.. but you won't have the dual fuel maps and probably not the full whopping 127 horsepower.

Mine is an A6 bottom (91 CRX Si) with a Y8 head (97-99 Civic EX) which is the easiest and least expensive route since there are no disrib mods needed and you can use all of your CRX Si stuff. I am switching to the PG7 (89 Teg ecu) for a more agressive fuel map and higher rev limit. Yeah, the best way to go would be to swap over the intake manifold, ecu, harness, sensors from the Y8, but that starts to cost $$$.
Right now I'm dynod at 125 hp/ 111 lbs at the WHEELS with a track time on street tires of 15.2 sec, so that's pretty good for a basic "stock" motor.
The best part is it only cost me $550 total for the head, new gaskets, new headbolts, H20 pump, belts, hoses and APEXi VAFC.
