how is the dsg compared to a manual?

 

It's a fabulous gearbox, shifts are super quick, downshifts are seamless and the flappy paddles are pretty cool to use. It definitely is the best compromise for those that want the performance of a manual but do not want the trouble of having to operate a clutch. ALL companies should offer this gearbox instead of traditional automatic IMO.
