Anyone make aftermarket gearsets?
I have a 93VTEC and the stock trans went up today. I shifted into 2nd and the trans started grinding and the motor revved freely. At first I thought I broke another DSS axle, but then 3rd gear was fine. Car runs and moves but the trans grinds at any speed and 2nd gear is useless.
Its ok though, I already have it out of the car and will take it apart tomorrow. My question is that, since I will most likely have to replace the second gearset, why not just replace them all with aftermarket, hopefully with more boost-oriented gearing. Does anyone know if anyone out there makes anything for the H22 or know of a custom shop?

anyone have the gearing specs? And syncro durability differes from tranny to tranny in b-series trannys. I wonder if its the same in h-series trannys?
Hay Pimptown boy , the only thing Prodrive makes for the H trans is a 4.7 ring and pinion . we are making dog gear sets for B series cable and hidro first fallowed by the H series last . That would solve all your problems . check back mid 2003 . late ....

Thanks Cottonwoodz , and I would lean more toward making a numerically lower final drive ratio, nothing below 4.00 though. That would aid in traction quite a bit.
