You will not be disappointed in Honda. The B series especially is a resonable and affordable foundation for every level of interest. Their modular good sense makes exchange of parts very simple throughout engine series (D,B,H,K).
I would suggest that you be COMPLETELY in love with your new purchase before you get modifying; nothing sucks worse than sinking a few grand into something and all the time wish you had something else.
