Default p2p or p2n?

I have a 2000 hx with a stock d16y5, need some advise on my ecu. I heard if Iput in a p2n my vtec will engage around 4500 rpm than versus my stock p2p that engages around.4500 rpm .
I found out that even though it engages later on it will run better. so wanna know what should Ido?
Or is it even worth get the right parts for my y5 to get hp out of it?

D16y5s are designed to engage vtec low. The y5 is the vtec-e engine designed for fuel economy. Why change where vtec engages?

Don't bother getting the ecu or trying to get power out if the Y5.

I've heard that it would run better with vtec hitting harder at 4500
