Default Power window prob.

I have a 94 Accord EX 4 door. I was an hour into an 800 mile trip and I went to check my oil...when I shut the hood, my front driver's window just dropped...I couldn't get it back up all the way so I drove the rest of the trip with it held up by duct tape. So when I got back home I tore my door apart and realized that the metal cable that connects the motor to the regulator (or track) snapped. I've been around to the local junk yards and nobody has any accords of my generation. I've been to the Napa and the like to see if the cables come with the motor or if I have to order the whole assembly from honda. No one can give me a straight answer. Anybody have any suggestions or answers?

Yeah, I've been there but they still only sell the whole assembly. I really don't want to drop $150 when all I really need is the stupid cables. I tore my motor apart and realized that there's no way that you can really remove the cables from the motor without cutting them, but you CAN remove them from the regulator. So does anybody know (or know where I can find out) if buying just the motor (from Napa or other store) includes the cables?

Thanx man. I'm tempted to just go find a cable from the hardwear store and have a local shop weld on the little connectors, but we'll see...I may just have to drop the money for a whole new one. Oh well.

I'm not sure if this would work but you could try swapping the regulator mech from a L rear passenger door. That worked on my 4dr jetta...driver side rear to front drivers' side. It worked great too...being a rear passenger, it had much less use over the years. Might work though quite honestly the Jetta was much less sophisticated. If you found one in a cheapo yard, that would be great.
