1991 Acura Integra Axle Mystery
Just bought the car has the standard Motor/Trans in it, but i had to replace the the Cv dive axle, but its coming up too short have bought many and looked at alot of them in the past two weeks but there all 1-1½ too short. Anyone have any advice or solution for me. Many thanks for any help. Looked at the car MANY times everything i could think of I've checked and it all seemed right. This is my last resort since i really dont want to put it into a shop. Its a standar 91 Integra 1.8l dohc 5spd manual.
'90 - '93 axles are all the same. And the JDM SiRs use an even shorter axle. '94 - '01 Integras have a male end on the intermediate shaft. Unless someone used an automatic intermediate shaft (I'm not even not even sure if they're longer or shorter, or just different in some other way) I'm not sure what's wrong.
Have you tried an axle from a different supplier? Or a used OEM axle? It's possible something got boxed wrong or looked up wrong. But there really is only one axle for that car.
