Icon6 Accord autos

I've noticed that from a stop when I step on the gas I go from idle (750rpm) to about 2krpm quickly before the car moves. is this normal for honda autos with high mileage? Im guessing torque converter lock up?

No leaks
No Slips
No noise
No rattles

That's how the Torque converter works, the torque converter lock doesn't kick in until you're above 2.5k and warmed up. The TC's full stall speed is 3k. (from a stop)

EDIT: You can see the full stall easily by putting it in D2 and leaving with about 1/2 throttle.

Edit2: thanks mike, I forgot to say that.
