sometimes i get a thin smoke coming through my shift boot that smells like burning rubber i've looked under my car when it's happening i can't seem to see where it's coming from. i have a eg civic with a pretty stock z6 anyone happen to know of what may be causing this.?

 

Well lets start with tje basics. Inder the leather boot you have a rubber bokt. Cbeck and see if its ripped or missing and fix it. Maybe your exhaust is hitting something causing the smell to come up from ripped rubber boot
