Default rear sway bar

does anyone know if the rear sway bar off a 88 crx si would fit an 89 crx si? i know the lca are different but not sure if that effects how the sway bar would mount, so does anyone know?

Is it better if we just upgrade to the thicker one ? What are the options here ?

google would help with what choice you would want if you want to go bigger. but the two that stand out the most is ST, and ASR.

mounts exactly the same. no difference. both LCA have the same mounting hole positions.

so neglicted to mention the fact that my 89 is an si clone... so where the sway bar would bolt into the body there are just holes with no nuts. any of you know of a solution? i thought of just welding the brackets into place but am wondering if there is a less permanent solution?

Brackets with a nut or threaded hole on the backside might work.
That is a lot of pulling stress on a weld so I'm not sure how long it would last.
It might be fine.

Maybe cut a slot in the side of the rail and put a plate with a nut welded on inside.
Then weld the hole in the rail back up.

Typical solution is to use a hole drill and cut in through the trunk floor.

as far as welding I am a welder by trade so a good weld should be stronger than the metal around it, hmmm i will have to give it some thought and see what i can come up with
