Default 97 Accord V6 Clunking Noise when letting off gas Peddle *HELP PLEASE*

Just purchased a 97 Accord EX V6 AUTO. It has 103k miles. It feels if I give the car a little bit of gas lets say up to 3k rpms, right when I let off the gas it makes a clunking noise and I feel it too when driving. Its only when I let off the gas. I placed the car in D2 and it would never make the clunking noise. However once I put it into D3 and step on it a tad and let off, it does the clunking. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The engine torque mounts are oil filled vacuum assist units. Make sure the vacuum lines are intact, and the mounts do not leak air or oil.

Sounds like you have a 3rd gear shudder. Test to see if this "shudder" occurs in other gear positions. Try in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Check the fluid level as well. A stall test is probably in order to determine at leak 1st and 2nd gear holding power. I'm willing to bet the clutches are worn out due to an internal fluid leak. Any DTC's? Does the D4 lamp work?

The clutch pressure control valves in the transmission are known for leaking and causing low pressure shifts (slips, then grabs, slips all the time, etc).

Can you feel the clunk in the floorboard or accelerator pedal?
