Is anybody a part of the chicago pipefitters ?

Currently, I'm attending the Illinois Welding School over in Romeoville, IL. and expecting
a graduation at around mid August of this year. I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to
get into the Pipefitters, and how people have done it. I've heard nothing but great things
about this Union, and I'm willing to give it a try.

I did a little bit of research, and some people told me it's the first wednesday of every month.

this may be fabrication related, but this is def. not the right forum for asking about pipefitters

 

I'm not from Chicago but I'm a member of UA local179 pipe fitter and welder union in sask Canada. best bet is to bring a resume down to your local hall tell them u wanna join and just keep calling and harassing them. some times it takes a while to get it depends on your experience and tickets. Hope this helps abit
