Don't want to take to any mechanic
I'm a technician, and I ran cycles around bunch of mechanics when I worked at a BMW , Porsch- Audi & VW dealership in Florida. I am not familiar with Honda as much.
What I already did:
Compression is about 15lbs low (still 100lbs) all other 5 cylinders read 115-120lbs.
Tried new coil, new spark plug, and fuel injector .
Now took the valve springs out and with Gumout free up the stem of all 4 valves , noticed the sludge I never saw before, I got this 2007 Odysee with 132000 miles at the auction. Previous owner did not change the oil regularly.Engine still in the van. Now I just got the valve keeper installation tool, and ready to put it back together and see if any significant improvement.
Now you know all I did. Not familiar with Honda, I decided to join Honda Tech Forum.
Now put your thinking cap on and help me if you can. Do you think the problem may be in the Engine electronics.

What did the plug look like??? This is a key piece of information when diagnosing a misfire complaint.

Test for injector pulse and key-on voltage at the injector. Have you pulled the coil out and made sure it is firing? You could have an open in any of your wires for the injector and/or ignition coil. Pretty simple stuff for as far as modern EFI goes.

Ive also seen a burnt exhaust valve on a J series engine(however caused a considerable loss of compression).

Were any services done immediately prior to the misfire occuring?

spark plug looks lean burned wore out, tried new coil also replace new fuel injector, don't think any service was done in recent past, poorly maintained engine, i did not check the key on voltage at the injector, not familiar how and what should it be, also explain open in coil and injector wires.
I just started to put valve catcher ont the springs, no room for any kind of tool, any ways i made a tool to install valve keepers and valve springs, hopefully have it ready tomorow to start it up.
still like to know the above tasks you mentioned.
your input is helpful and greatly appreciated.
Lastly what in the world is wrong with 2002 - 2005 odysee transmission, are they only supposed to function till 100 k miles, i had 3 overhauled , or there is some small fix.
