MD FS/FT 2005 Subaru STI Aspen White
I'm listing my 2005 Subaru STI for sale. Car has 86K miles on it. Car recently passed Maryland Smog testing. Car does not have any check engine lights.
VIN JF1GD70625L525864
$18,500
I picked up the car about 6 months ago.
Since owning the car I've done...
brand new Subaru VF48 turbo
New axle/transmission seals
new toe rod end, all caliper bolts removed, lubed and reinstalled, (they are known for getting stuck)
Car was tuned 6 months ago at Turbo XS, car made 300/340 to the wheels. Car was gone over from top to bottom by Andrew Tech.
car has.
Nav system
boost gauge
SSR wheels/new Continental ExtremeContact DW tires
New VF48 turbo
Injen intake
Big Blowthrough MAF
Perrin hard inlet pipe
760cc injectors
255lbs fuel pump
cobb catted downpipe
cobb exhaust
Cobb access port
hard wired for passport radar detector
WRX trunk swap.
Cusco catch can
Tein hood dampers
The bad.
Crack in windshild on the passenger side you can't really see it when sitting in the drivers seat, it still passed Maryland State Inspection.
Car has a handful of dings here and there. Nothing uncommon for a 8 year old car.
Front hood has dings/small dents, you can see them in the 2nd to last picture. Over all the front end of the car has seen better days, it's a car that has been driven no doubt, has a lot of little paint cracks and such in the front bumper cover/lower pieces. Underside of the hood has some scraping where the old (since replaced) crappy ebay intercooler rubbed (old owner)
Interior is a 9/10 over all great condition with a few minor scratches here and there. Also the common wear on the top of the steering wheel.
Exterior if you don't count the front bumper and hood is a 8/10 a few door dings but over all in great shape!
Nav system will remind you from time to time that the parking brake isn't hooked up correctly, I haven't tested it but I believe you can watch DVDs while driving.
Biggest issue is that 4th gear grinds if you down shift fast or try to down shift into 4th gear when at a higher highway speed. For basic driving and back road driving if you shift slowly into 4th it wont grind. Up shifts don't really seem to be an issue. Even if you upshift fast. It's just the down shifts that seem to be an issue.
If you are looking for a turn key STI that is over all in very good condition, this is the car for you. Everything is up to date and the car doesn't have any issues.
Only trade I'd be willing to do is for a stock GSR swapped civic, no motor work, just basic stuff like intake/exhaust, car must be done correctly, no check engine lights and pass emissions with ease. + cash of course. Maybe a miata or other small cheap car that could make a good DD.

Today I went to rotate the wheels to see if I could soften the tire noise, I noticed once I had the rears off that they were warn a bit more then I thought, fronts look great but the rears are so so, also the noise seems to be coming from the rears due to cupping? looks like they're not perfectly flat.
This car is the real deal and I'm not going to hold anything back or BS any buyers on its condition.
IMO rear tires should be changed out. fronts look good. There's enough tread to pass MD state inspection, but the road noise caused from the rears just bugs me.

As of 4/29/13 I had 4 new Continental ExtremeContact DW tires installed, while installing the tires we noticed one wheel was bent pretty badly, and another wheel was lightly bent, was told I only needed to repair the badly bent wheel. I like doing things right so I told them to fix both wheels.
So now all 4 wheels are without a doubt in perfect true, as with brand new Continental ExtremeContact DW tires 245/40/18s

It's not my daily driver but gets driven a good bit. Drove it every day last week, however this weeks been crappy out so I've been taking the SUV to work.
