99 Civic Si Ignition Problems
Alright everyone so here's what's going on...My 99 Civic Si will start just fine when everything is nice and cool. (hasn't been driven for awhile) But if the engine has been running and I turn the car off and try to start it again it will crank and the engine will try to start but won't turn over. Now here's what I've diagnosed/done so far myself and now I am stuck. All of the tests were done when the car was not starting.
New Spark plug wires
Ignition Module tested and passed @ O'reily's
Fuel Pump working and fuel pressure good
Spark plugs getting spark
Also I've noticed a black liquid being spit out of the exhaust when letting off of the gas.
Please help I'm a college student on a budget and this is supposed to be my daily driver.

No CEL codes, I would love to say yes but I don't remember the exact color of the spark and guessing won't help me at all lol. I will take a look at your links, and check spark color after I let the car run. thanks!
So I got around to checking the spark and it is bright white at all 4 plugs when engine won't start. I also got around to pulling my main relay out and checking the solders...they all seem to be fine. Side note, I noticed that no matter how much I drive my car and how hot it gets my radiator fan won't turn on. Someone told me that there are two temperature gauges, one that measures coolant temperature and another that possibly measures engine block temp, they suggested that if one isn't working then it won't let the engine start as a sort of safety feature?? not sure how accurate that is just relaying to everyone what I was told.
I was told the same by a mechanic over the phone, the only problem with that is that I have an external MSD Blaster 2 Coil. It wasn't installed by me so I took the liberty of running all new wires between the coil and the distributor.
