Just curious why this is? I've known a couple people who had their SSR's repaired and those were forged too. What makes forged wheels so much more difficult to repair? Just curious...

yah, even back in the day when the te's first came out, I remember hearing alot of horror stories about the wheels cracking/bending or literally fragmenting after hitting some abnormality on the road. It's weird, but then again, endurance racing courses in Japan don't have trenches, potholes and other weird things , so maybe they are just really delicate race wheels...

There were lots of holes in the road. They did repair the damn road from asphalt damage, the repair was not finished.

The rim was repaired today for 70 USD, looking like nothing happand

You shouldn't be too hesitant. Mostly everyone who has them loves it. Like it was stated, it was fixed for $70 USD and looks perfect. Get them, great wheel.

I hit it REALY hard! The dampers went 100% in and I thought my car break into pieces.

I runned 225/35/17 on normal Aluminium rims for 4 years on my old MX6......never hitted a hole sooo hard.

You will love the rims and this hole I hit was about 2-3 inch deep I guess.
