I was looking into getting a ITR lip for my GSR, and I knew comptech had one for around $250. I looked around at Acuraautomotiveparts.net, and found out they sold the OEM lip for only $203! I think that is an awesome deal. Has anyone picked this up from that site? I know they are pretty good because I bought something from them before. I figure this is unpainted, which is fine. Does anyone know if this comes with the mounting hardware as well? That is an awesome price and I plan on ordering one soon.

my bet is those are two different parts.

 

Part of the difference in price is the number of the part G95P ($203.18) and G92P ($314.10), you might want to call them and ask what the differences are. I ordered the G92P this past summer and it came pre-painted in either PY or NHB. When I ordered it, I specified PY in the special instructions section on the order form and I had no problems. There isn't much installation hardware. All you need are a few screws, if I can recall correctly.

 

I just called them, the $200 one is no longer available but the $300 one is still available and it comes molded in all the original Type R colors so CW, PY, NBP and FBP would be available.

 

You ITR owners better stock up, b/c I have a feeling a lot of the integra owners are going to swarm the phone lines.

About a year ago you could get the whole OEM body kit for about the cost of that lip.

Can you get the lip iloveracing? That sucks the 200 dollar one is discontinued. When I searched I found that under the 98' ITR section. I don't want it painted in the first place, unless they can get it to me in frost white. I doubt CW and frost match up. I wonder if I could mount the comptech lip with screws instead of tape?

I think I have an idea about the price differences. The 200 dollar one might be a replacement lip, no screws or anything to bolt up with it. the 300 dollar one is an accessory option that comes with everything to bolt up and is a little more, since its an option.

This was the case when I bought a 99-00 Si lip for my 99 EX. They sent me the replacement lip and it was about 70 bux cheaper than the accessory lip, even though its the same lip (only no hardware). Just different part numbers.

Not sure if this is the case, but a possibility.

 

Holy crap, $100 for a few screws! Sounds like it is a reasonable explanation considering it is from the factory.

 

$200............you have to be out of your mind. ferman acura of tampa sells the OEM lip painted for about $75-150 depending on the color.

 

Guys, the lip that was for sale for $200 is now discontinued. That was an accesory lip for 97-98 ITRs that came in CW. The reason for the cheap price is because Acura was running a special deal because they wanted to get rid of their inventory. I ran a check today and it says it's unavailable in North America. So that means, they're out.
