Default Help me complete my interior - what shift ****?

Hi.

You guys know me as a function over form / all go, no show kind of guy, so what I'm about to ask may seem a little unusual:

I have some stuff that I need to install in my itr:

I already have a mugen pedal set installed.

And I'm using this in another car:

Should I use a spoon duracon **** in this car also?

Or maybe mugen?
Is the mugen **** heavy?

What else?
Does C's have a Honda shift ****?
How's it feel?

I would prefer something light, functional, and ergonomic.

Anybody else got a C's shifter?
What are you using?
Do you feel like a certain weight is needed?

I personally like the Duracon. Can't go wrong with the stock one either.

with the c's shifter being mainly metalic, i'd go with a black shift **** to set it off better vs. say the stock ITR ****. I'd go with spoon.

I run the Spoon Ti **** with Mugen pedals and goofy shifter as well. Feel great and sets off the weird metal contraption of a shifter pretty well and would match your cluster.

^The Spoon Ti **** is very light; feels like it's made out of plastic light. That is a hybrid Racing shifter for K.

I say go with a OG Mugen ****. The Mugen **** is not heavy; it's light, made out of aluminum, and should look nice with C's shifter. Duracon won't look bad either.

I had the m00gen **** in my R. It was light and pretty comfortable. It felt real light after coming from a Skunk2 ****.

i prefer the oem ti **** not only because its heft in weight but it handles nicely in my palm. It enforces a nice positive shift

tried the spoon duracon and mugen, no go for me, too light.

I like the OEM **** best. I'm using the JDM spec one which has a bit of a different finish to it than the US spec one. In my evo I run a Blox spherical. It's very heavy and I like it a lot. I used to use and ARC **** for the evo, but it was made for jdm spec hands and was really weird holding what felt like a golf ball.

Anyone try the vision **** as seen on ICB ? Looks sweet but don't know about the weight. Might be a compromise between oem and spoon/mugen etc. I personally like the spoon duracon but I've only had that, 98 R leather, jdm itr, and the Greddy/Trust ****

Ken, if you have ITR Expo plans you may be in the running for ROTY.

I might not go to expo.

I've been focusing most of my time and $ on my autox car - hence all these parts piling up.

I'm really interested in finding out what the weight of the mugen **** is vs the spoon duracon.

I've always liked the old school OMP **** Big Phat R had. Not sure how light it was though.

Had them both. They are both very light. Lighter than what a shift **** should be IMO. The Mugen 'd!ldo' is probably slightly heavier, if that helps any.

Don't know if you will care but the spoon Duracon might not look as "pretty" on a shifter with no boot. The bottom of it is flat and usually sits on the shift boot but with the C's the flat part would be out in the open and would bother me(maybe not you though!).

Hrm... I really want something light and functional.

I looked up the mugen ***** on king motorsports and they're $95!
Holy crap!
They're 1/2 to 1/4 that on eBay, but those are probably fake.

I have the spoon duracon **** in one of my other cars, and my itr has the oem "Ti" ****.
Damn, I'd really like to try out the mugen **** before I buy it blind.

The ones you see for less on ebay are definitely fake. I say use your duracon for now, and keep an eye on the Mugen wtb/fs thread for used black *****. Hopefully, an used one will pop up at a price you are comfortable with.

I have this spoon **** that the sticker came off of for sale. PM me if you're interested. I'm thinking something like $35 shipped.
