Default '98 Accord muffler

I have a 4 door '98 Accord EX 2.3L and I'm looking at replacing my OEM muffler with an aftermarket. What muffler would give me the loudest sound and top performance out of my car? I have looked at some flowmaster, magnaflow, and DC Sports mufflers but I am still not sure what would give me the loud sound and top performance I would like.

i don't understand why you want that.

however "top" performance comes from a well designed system. replacing your muffler with a straight pipe (least restriction, loudest sound) won't register much on the dyno (if you were to take it to one). you want to reduce restriction throughout the whole exhaust system without losing exhaust velocity. which translates to "bigger is better if, and only if what you have is too small."

so there isn't a simple answer performance wise. you may need to try a few different ones out at the dyno to see what works best. Loudness though, that's easy. eBay search for axle back exhaust that fits your model then sort by "price+shipping: lowest to highest." focus on the ones labeled "race."

I realize it sounds very strange to want to make a fast and loud 6th gen accord but the reason I'm doing it is to be different i dont wanna be like everyone else who drives civics

i think that's a bit of a cop out. loud exhaust on a honda, be it an accord or civic is nothing new or different.

you want to be different? trade the accord for a '98 Odyssey and put loud exhuast on that. that would be different. just like the guys in Japan, where Odysseys (though different from the USDM models) are very popular for modification.
