I recently received the engine error code P0341 - Camshaft Position Sensor , this was found to be due to a stretched Timing Chain.

I really have to thank you. I've been dealing with this error code for some time, and Honda quoted $1500 to replace my chain setup. This video finally gave me the moxy to take a weekend and do it myself.

I have a couple questions too.

When setting the chain, he slowly turns the right side cog with a wrench. Is this to tension the chain on the exhaust side, or merely to adjust the cams positioning?

Should you oil the chain and parts before reassembling the cover, so that when you first start it you don't do any damage to the dry chain?

And lastly, did you check the timing sensors first before assuming its the chain?

Some good questions that I've probably missed in the video. Will have to put some additional captions on it to clear up.

He used the cam on the right to get the chain over to the correct position on the bottom crankshaft cog. Basically making sure all the magnetic links on the chain hit the correct points on the cogs.

We didn't oil the chain but I can't see any harm in doing so afterwards.

I remember we rotated the crank very slowly before hand and the chain was jumping as it was so slack.
