Check and the igniter is pulsing at the coil. Replaced coil assuming that was the prob and no change so put it back together and put a screw driver in each plug boot and checked for spark over good ground. All wires sparked. I can smell fuel and took the top off the dpfi and looked as if it was getting fuel. Didn't really have time to keep checking it. Not sure where to look next given that it seems to be getting fuel and spark. Anyone else ever encounter the 15 code and it not be dist related? And the main relay does appear to be functioning fine. This is a 90 d15b2 with dpfi no mods manual trans car.

 

could have jumped timing when he attempted to start it, check timing.

if its getting air fuel and spark (at the correct times) it will start, done verified fuel and spark, all that's left is air and time.
