Default 1992 Accord Sedan - New Owner Build Thread

Hi All, I just finally acquired my Dad's 92 Accord after he purchased a '13 CRV. He purchased the car in '98 from a Delta pilot who had kept every scrap of documentation on the car and my Dad continued that, so I have everything from the window sticker to the latest oil change. I'm looking forward to shoring up a few issues and enjoying this car on my daily commute which allows me to keep some miles off of my '03 Cobra.

Issues:
- stripped and leaking oil drain plug, planning to just replace the pan
- A/C blows warm
- ABS light on, need to research what that could be
- small trunk leak in heavy rain
- coffee stains in carpet
- paint needs compounding and polishing, scuff on front bumper, dent on hood

So I'll update this thread as I fix stuff. Here's a quick pic.

Yes, looks pretty good.

AC- Have the system pressures check - high and low side.
ABS- Get the codes, just like you would for the CEL, just a different light
Trunk Leak- reseal, or get new ones, the tail light gaskets. The right/pass rear seems to leak more often than the other side? I'd also inspect the rear moon roof drains.

Taking it to a shop for the a/c tomorrow.

I bet it is the tail light seals, its on both sides right behind the tail lights.

Spent some time on the interior and did a quick wash on a beautiful GA Saturday.

Used some Meguiars M105 polish on the plastic gear selector bezel, here is a 50/50 shot.

From the carpet cleaner.

From wiping down all non carpet interior surfaces.

After

Excuse the finger in the way

After a wash and spray wax, not bad for a 21 year old car

Holy crap. Amazing job cleaning!

She look just as new. Pretty clean CB7 though as there's no rust.

Thanks guys, it's been a GA car and garaged most of its life. No big plans really, just making it into a nice daily driver. I'll do window tint, keyless entry with remote start for the occassional cold morning. Now that I've cleaned up the interior I'm going to dive into the maintenance stuff.

I also swapped in led's for the license plate lamps after taking apart the housings and cleaning out all the gunk.

Nice, very refreshing to see clean CB's still out there. Up here in the rust belt, it's nigh impossible to find one without 95% of it's body surface covered in rust. I'd love to find a clean CB for a dedicated autoX build.

Slobra eh? Need pics of that.

That is by far the cleanest CB I've ever seen. Props.

The Slobra For a Cobra it's pretty stock actually, just exhaust, intake and springs.

A/C in the Accord is now fixed. There was a leak on a valve that's on the compressor, don't remember the name and also the condenser fan was not working. They fixed those issues, filled it with Freeze12 and it's good to go, all for just under $300. I'm pumped.

I'm going to replace the valve cover gasket and maybe the oil cooler gasket next. I didn't see any oil in the spark plug holes, so maybe I'm ok there. Also I've got taillight gaskets on the way.
