BC Garage s2000 Build: Mixing the old with the new
So i decided to make a build thread. This is my first car, and i really enjoy it so far. I plan on building it for show, then do some engine work down the road. The car came with some good things when i bought it such as coilovers, and a new headunit. However, there are some bads to it also, such as the front lip having a big crack and the wheels being curbed somewhat. Both don't really bother me because they are going to be replaced down the road. I will try to keep this as updated as i can with the parts i put on.
please be careful, the s2000 is a terrible first car, its very easy to get your self into alot of trouble, and im not talking about speeding tickets

I have no idea why that would be. He will be fine.

Because it is very easy to become over confident with that car and oversteer that sumbitch straight into a tree ...its a twitchy car, its not as easy to drive fast or as forgiving as a civic

I know what you guys mean about being careful. I am extremely careful with my car and don't push its limits ever. I'm a very responsible driver and I don't do dumb **** to put myself and others in danger.
Here are a couple photos of the car. It is pretty stock. The only major work is that the previous owner put a set of coilovers on, and a oem replica lip. the interior is in good shape for being 13 years old. No big tears in the seats. Ordered an exhaust and should be installing it soon, so keep posted for that soon. Also, the wheels are curbed a little bit. I only included the shift **** shot because i love the way it looks for some reason.
Yesterday my friends and i installed a nardi wheel and nrg quick release on my s2000. Ill post some pics of it tomorrow if i find the time.
Here are some photos of the nardi install. Everything went pretty well with the steering wheel, but the shift boot gave us a little trouble. Getting the metal clips out to put the new boot in was a pain for everyone. BCG Nick and BCG Andrew were a big help in installing both items. It took us about 2 hours for us to install both items.
So i wanted to let you guys know of some updated things. Its been a while and not much has happened. First thing is the front lip got "taken" off. By this i mean, i ran up on a plant box at a restaurant, which ripped it right off. I was really mad at first, but now im loving that its gone.. It was a replica anyway so i dont miss it. No other damage was done luckily. Since then ive decided that im going to replace it with the chargespeed front bumper. Second, i got a different headunit. The main reason is because this one does so much more than the other one such as bluetooth support and wireless calling. Finally, i was able to get the horn to work after not having it for a month. I know this is little but i really enjoy having it back. So many drivers have been giving me **** on the road and its great now to honk at those guys. Ill make a thread showing how i did shortly.
As far as the exhaust, the GReddy RS, it is FINALLY coming tomorrow. I ordered it back in April, so its wonderful to have it come. Expect another post soon about that install.

What aftermarket steering wheel has an air bag? I assume any S2000 that has an aftermarket steering wheel is bad? There's no need for the negative comments. The sticker is representing a car crew I don't know if I would count that as a modification.
Wait, when was adding a decal considered a modification?? Another thing, why would i run a steering wheel with an airbag. I seriously love how much hate this thread gets, ******* snowmen.
Ok, I actually like the wheel you put in. It looks well with the car. But...
Safety? Again, I really like it, but I think it's a silly question to ask why. It was a big long consideration before I decided that my car was going to be a Friday-car and I wouldn't feel too bad about putting a Nardi wheel on. Its too bad that people hate, anyway, I do dig that look and you gotta get the ball rolling somewhere, right?

^^ it's going to be a show car. We would have a problem if the air bags were deployed ever in this car.
Keep up the work BP. Gotta post up your new photos.
