Default Difference between p06 auto and p06 manual

Hello, this is my first post so bear with me if I make some mistakes using the site. I recently bought a 1995 Honda Civic LX, It came with a P06 A52 ecu but the car is a 5-speed. I've read that you can convert the auto PO6 to a manual by removing 2 resistors and adding a jump wire. The thing is, will the converted ecu behave exactly as an original P06 A02(manual). Is there any performance difference between a 5-speed civic with converted ecu vs. one with the original manual ecu? What mainly attracted me to this car was the fuel economy and I would like to squeeze as many MPG out of it as possible. If a converted P06 makes my civic run less efficiently then I would rather buy a P06 A02. I would greatly appreciate any help with this.

i've noticed the converted Auto P06 doesn't want to shut off the injectors when downshifting (or engine braking) as well as the Manual P06 does. This makes sense, because older automatics generally had levers and crap to prevent the engine from starving when braking in "D"rive; so now it's done with software. Newer cars are probably smarter & take more advantage of zero-fuel braking to boost their EPA rating, but that doesnt apply to this model.

I dont know just how much overall fuel waste this amounts to, but that particular behavior is definitely different between the two. Of course, if you are chipping yours, you probably wont be affected.
