Got a question that's been bugging me. On my 6th gen Civic there looks to be provisions (the two black plugs/grommets on either shock tower) for UCA mounting similar to the 5th gen Civic. So can you use these to actually mount 5th gen style UCAs or is there something other that prevents that? Mind you I don't own a 5th gen Civic and haven't for a long time nor do I have 5th gen Civic hardware to try out. Just curious what these points are for on the 6th gen is all.

Looking a little closer via a Google image search, those aren't even the mounting points for UCAs so WTF are those holes for?

Okay now I'mm all messed up. The 5th gens have those grommets/plugs as well but it looks like in a slightly offset location. I've never seen anything installed there for either generation.
The inner bracket for the stock 6th gen front upper control arms would prevent this from being possible.
As far as I can tell changes to the 96-00 chassis over the 92-95 are upgrades. The change in length for the rear LCA, the mounting style of the front UCA and the redesign of the front LCA and sway bars should benefits. I wouldn't personally go to anything from the EG chassis even if it was possible.
