hey so i just did a b20b swap in my car im currently not running a proper ecu... was waiting till i put a b16 head on it and do a tune and everything at the same time but im having a few problems as it sits and wonder what everyone thinks it could be i was told and also think its my ecu atm

-bogs at low rpm after about 4-4.5k rpm it stops
-shitty start ups some times
-reving at low rpms its a lot louder then when i hit around 4.5k

new to cars and trying to learn as my buddies know a lot more then me atm lol just wanna know if its an engine problem or needs a better ecu ( ecu was for a h22 )

you won't be able to do anything or have not close to decent drivability until you get an ecu for your engine and you'll have to tune it when you put the b16 head on as well

 

so the ecu is the problem? i kno i needa new one but thats wat should be causing the problem no? and ya i always already planning on getting thee tune after the head

 

Even if the ECU isn't the problem, we can't even begin to diagnose the problem until you run a proper ECU. While you're working on getting the right ECU, check your timing.
